What's Happening This Week in the Vail Valley...

It's a packed week and lots to be thankful for this Thanksgiving Week.





  • Wednesday, November 24th - Beaver Creek Mountains Opening Day, plus the Chocolate Chip Cooke Competition. Come taste the finalists cookies and vote for your favorite starting at 2:00 pm. - Winner will be announced at 3:00 pm.

  • Thursday, November 25th - between 11am and 3pm - The Salvation Army, Trinity Church and the Edwards Interfaith Chapel and Community Center are hosting a Thankgiving Supper open to the community at the Edwards Chapel. Casual buffest atmosphere. No reservations needed!

  • Thursday, November 25th - 4th Annueal Eagle-Vail Turkey Trot - Family 5k Fun Run and Walk - Eagle-Vail Pavilion 9:30am Start - Registration starts at 8:30 am - $10 per person - benefitting The Youth Foundation.






  • Friday, November 26th - Beaver Creek Tree Lighting - several activities are included: 4 to 8pm Gingerbread Competition and silent auction. - 5:30 to 6:30pm Tree-lighting ceremony on the Plaza with musical performances, fireworks and visits by Santa Claus - 7pm Free family movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" at the Vilar Perforoming Arts Center - 7 to 9pm Complimentary Ice Skating at the Black Family Ice Rink. 9:30pm Warren Miller film "Wintervention." tickets available at Beaver Creek Sports, Vail Sports and Vilar Box Office.






  • Saturday, November 27th - Drop by
  • 92 Riverbend Court in Arrowhead to see the exquisite finishes, quaint, yet sophisticated and on the golf course, 5-bedroom home. It is a must see! The floorplan is great for entertaining with French doors leading to the wrap-around deck. Open from 3:00 to 5:00pm, which will leave you plenty of time to get to the Vail Tree Lighting - Festivities begin at 5:30pm followed by the Children's Light Parade starting at 6:15 and end up at the Lionshead Tree lighting ceremony. The Arrabelle at Vail Square will offer cookies and free cider prior to the Tree Lighting in Lionshead. And to round out the evening, Santa will make an appearance along with carolers.
